Anchored in Care
cultivating connected, compassionate presence
Anchored in Care is a research-supported, 6-week online workshop series designed for Deep Listeners/Spiritual Directors.
Deep Listeners/Spiritual Directors need to be anchored in care. In a world tossed and battered from many sides, Deep Listeners/Spiritual Directors play a vital and timely role in holding spacious, caring presence, encouraging others to open more fully to God/Divine Source of peace and hope, to cultivate stable tethers to Life, to discern appropriate responses to Love’s invitations.
As Deep Listeners/Spiritual Directors, our capacity to be calm, connected, receptive, curious, vibrant, caring, present is directly impacted by our capacity to be compassionate and caring to ourselves without judgment. It’s part two of the Great Commandment.
Anchored in Care helps
– bridge the disconnect between how we treat others and how we treat ourselves
– realign our connections, motivation and confidence
– cultivate resilience within
Based on the groundbreaking Mindful Self-Compassion research of Kristin Neff, PhD, and the clinical expertise of psychotherapist Christopher Germer, PhD, this workshop series includes group discussions, experiential exercises, guided meditations and home practices. No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is required to participate.
